Education Through Music (ETM) partners with under-resourced schools to provide music as a core subject for all children and utilizes music education as a catalyst to improve overall achievement, motivation for school, and self-confidence.
Headquartered in New York City, ETM has 50+ employees who collaborate with over 50 schools in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. In addition to these partnerships, ETM’s long-term goal is to have their teachers hired directly by the principals of the schools they are placed in.
ETM’s ability to help students through music depends directly on the quality and dedication of its teaching staff. Josephine Winfery has been ETM’s Director of Human Resources since 2017 and is responsible for leading the organization’s recruiting efforts.

Though the pandemic significantly slowed their programs in 2020, ETM is once again hiring K-8 Music Teachers for this upcoming Fall. They’re looking forward to continuing to use JazzHR to hire for what’s next.
