Finding quality candidates faster
Team Engagement Specialist Valerie Murray joined Achieving True Self in 2018. At the time, the organization was having difficulty finding qualified candidates as fast as they needed them.
When hiring qualified behavior consultants and technicians, the Achieving True Self team looks for passionate individuals who enjoy providing direct services in a one-on-one capacity. Because therapists meet with individuals in family homes and community settings, they’re expected to be highly professional, as well as compassionate, fun and caring.
In addition to certifications and ABA experience, Achieving True Self seeks out motivated therapists who understand the importance of collecting data to provide the best possible support to their clients.
Valerie and her team noticed that the volume of applicants that met these requirements was shrinking. It was clear they needed to find a way to improve their candidate flow and gain better end-to-end visibility into their recruiting process.
“We were looking to add a service that put our jobs out there for us,” said Valerie. “We wanted an applicant tracking system to be able to get us more. We couldn’t see as much — like where the jobs were going — with our other system.”
