SevenStar HR helps small businesses grow through budget-friendly HR consulting services, ranging from hiring and training to performance management and employee management. The name SevenStar HR is built on their commitment to excellence, inspired by the idea that five stars are just not enough. SevenStar HR focuses on providing its seven-star service and support to companies with 10-150 employees across all industries. Their CEO Jacquelyn Gernaey founded the company back in 2015 after recognizing a gap in the market around small businesses’ HR needs. Jacquelyn, along with her employees and consultants, serves over 150 clients throughout the US and Canada.
Part of SevenStar HR’s services includes EffectiveHiring, a six-step branded experience that helps small businesses to reach top talent with the help of best-of-breed tools. Before partnering with JazzHR, they realized they were missing key features in their previous ATS. “As time went by, we started seeing that the ATS we were using was not providing what we needed or the client needed,” said Jacquelyn.
In early 2020, SevenStar HR set out to find a new recruiting ATS platform to fit their company and clients’ needs. That’s where JazzHR came in: After learning about the benefits and structure of the JazzHR Partner Program, SevenStar HR decided to partner with JazzHR. Among the many partner benefits, their team especially appreciates the relationship with their JazzHR Partner Sales Manager (PSM) who helps them to introduce JazzHR to SevenStar HR clients. They also like the easy narrowing of candidates using JazzHR’s screening tool.
“We provide our clients the opportunity to include HR and hiring as part of their offerings without having to do the work,” said Jacquelyn. “In doing so, we improve the stickiness of their clients…then they can say ‘we’re not just like every other coach, consultant, trusted advisor, etc. We have an HR component too.”
Their PSM also boosts client retention by providing support when a SevenStar HR client decides to switch their hiring technology. Before partnering with JazzHR, this transition often meant SevenStar risked losing a client. Now, SevenStar HR’s Partner Sales Manager steps in to demo JazzHR’s capabilities and train staff on how to leverage this best-in-class tool themselves.
In addition to the partnership benefits, SevenStar HR also leverages JazzHR’s suite of hiring tools to appeal to the different needs of their clients. JazzHR’s Knockout Questions and Candidate Texting, for example, have made a huge impact on their clients’ ability to screen candidates faster. And thanks to JazzHR’s Accounts Portal, SevenStar HR is able to seamlessly help clients review candidates.
“With other systems, you’d have to log in and out of accounts, which could get annoying if we’re trying to help multiple clients. We really like that JazzHR makes it easier with the Accounts Portal,” explained Jacquelyn.
The connection to the JazzHR Marketplace is another big advantage of the JazzHR Partner Program for SevenStar HR. Having a Marketplace listing has allowed SevenStar HR to reach new clients.
Having JazzHR’s support as both a partner and provider has helped SevenStar HR to maintain clients and increase their exposure. SevenStar HR increased their revenue by 63% in 2020 and are confident that JazzHR played a role in their success. With a product that’s constantly improving, JazzHR has supported SevenStar’s continuing revenue because on-site consultants get to use a tool that they enjoy.
Going forward, SevenStar HR plans on launching custom-branded hiring software through JazzHR’s White Label platform.
